Bears have unique edge to compete in NFC North.

The 2023 Chicago Bears season has several promising signs. The Bears have a historic edge in a key season, in addition to their impressive summer signings.

Following Thursday's announcement, Chicago's 2023 regular season schedule provided numerous fascinating scenarios.

Bookending the season with Green Bay Packers games and four primetime games are highlights.

Two Thursday night games may seem bad, but they provide rest. The Bears will have 12 days more rest than their opponents.

Chicago will usually be rested over the 17-game schedule. The Bears' rest differential matches the Buffalo Bills (2022) and Detroit Lions (2010, 2011) NFL record.

Rest helps manage energy and injuries, but it doesn't immediately affect performance. Chicago's youth should help them late in games, particularly after resting.

It's easy to ignore, yet it will benefit. Chicago will use every advantage to make the playoffs.
