Build Leg Muscle With This Four-Move Gym Workout And Finisher

Leg exercises have a bad reputation in the fitness industry. You'll understand why after this workout, which promises to "murder" your legs.

Ella-Mae Rayner, a fitness expert, created the four workouts and fiery finale. These include plyometric exercises to help you develop explosive power as well as conventional hypertrophy training exercises like the barbell back squat.

To perform this workout, you will need a barbell, kettlebell, dumbbells, and weight machines, so pack your gym bag and leave. Complete the leg press, leg extension, barbell back squat, and split squat movements.

Perform a superset of 15 goblet squats and 15 squat leaps for the finisher, then rest for a minute before repeating twice more. The final few reps of each set should be difficult in order to promote muscle growth. If they don't, you must put on more weight.

To get the most out of this workout, attempt to use a full range of motion during each exercise, lowering your rear knee to just above the floor during split squats and ensuring your thighs are at least parallel with the floor at the bottom of each squat. Focus on form and move gently to enhance muscle tension.

You'll go quicker during the finisher to test your muscular endurance, but don't forget technique. Avoid rounding your back while squatting.
