NFL world reacts to huge Brock Purdy news

Last year, San Francisco 49ers rookie quarterback Brock Purdy led his team to an undefeated season and the NFC Championship game until a shoulder injury ended his season. He's recovering well despite his terrible injuries.

Purdy has a somewhat optimistic timeframe to return from his injury this summer.

To to KNBR, "Good news on 49ers QB Brock Purdy: Twelve weeks after his elbow surgery, in early June, John Lynch anticipates that he will be able to begin throwing.

Lombardi noted on Twitter on October 2 that San Francisco "should develop more clarity on an exact return timeline at this point."

It seems like there's hope still." While Lombardi tweeted that Purdy will be back in Week 1, he also noted that the 49ers had been preparing for an absence that lasted until Week 4.

The NFL community had lots to say about the good news on social media, despite some worries that Purdy's rehabilitation may be lengthier.

Since Purdy had such a successful first season with the Niners, their supporters will continue to pray for his rapid recovery.
